ShareTreia and its unpaved roads

A cycling tour full of heroic charm, a network of country roads and gravel roads of great beauty, small villages, large open spaces and cultivated hills make our ride one of a kind. Cycling in this context creates a unique sense of freedom, here only nature is at home. Our cycling itinerary is a succession of country roads and dirt roads that from Treia reach San Lorenzo di Treia and then return to Treia. In the locality of San Lorenzo, outside the town, stands the Sanctuary of the Santissimo Crocefisso where, on the base of the bell tower and at the entrance to the convent, finds from the Roman Trea are incorporated, including a mosaic with Ibis. Here stood the ancient parish church, built on the remains of the temple of Isis. The sanctuary preserves a valuable fifteenth-century crucifix that tradition has it carved by an angel and which, according to some, reveals the art of the great Donatello.
