The medieval village of Rosora is located on a hill at 381 meters above sea level, renowned for the production of Verdicchio wine and the town of sapa, a product of the Marche tradition that is obtained by cooking the must from which a grape syrup is obtained. The start of the route is near the center of Rosora where there is a bar, a fountain for water and a small food shop. It starts on asphalt in the direction of the ancient district of Tassanare along this stretch of the route you will meet wineries, agriturists, B and B where you are enchanted by the panorama that this area offers, a beautiful view of the Umbrian-Marche Apennines with in the foreground the monte Catria (1701 meters above sea level) which delimits the border between the two regions. Once in Tassanare, where there is also an astronomical observatory nearby, a little further on, take a downhill dirt road that is very fun for mtb enthusiasts that leads up to a dirt road near the beautiful village of Castiglioni which is a few km away and which is definitely worth a visit. From here the road becomes asphalt and slightly uphill towards Rosora to return to Tassanare and proceed towards Castelplanio up to the cemetery where you follow a stretch of road initially asphalted which later becomes a dirt road and leads into a small shady wood halfway between the surrounding countryside where mountain biking can express its potential, thus reaching the center of Castelplanio. From Palazzo Mancini the famous path of the ditch of the black crab starts in a suggestive setting of primordial nature with very suggestive waterfalls and mini lakes, the name derives from the presence in the clear waters of the black crab. The path is initially impervious and requires a little technique, then it softens and allows you to immerse yourself completely in the truly special environment. The place is quite humid and therefore to be avoided after rain. From Macine where the path ends, turn right to undertake a challenging climb that is always rewarded by the views of the valley and the surrounding hills, then return on the paved road to the starting point of the tour, also passing near a small but very interesting exhibition of period objects. Definitely worth a visit is the small town that preserves sections of the defensive walls from which to look out to admire the surrounding hills as far as the Adriatic Sea. Due to its panoramic position on the territory of the homonymous valley, the Municipality of Rosora has been awarded the title "balcony of the vallesina".
