Senigallia the velvet beach, our itinerary starts right from the sea cycle path where it is possible to admire the famous "Velvet Beach", large spaces where the bather feels at ease in enjoying seaside life. We pedal and cross the port area until we take us towards the north of Senigallia where at that point we travel along a beautiful country road until we get to taste the first hilly ups and downs that take us towards the historic hilltop village of Mondolfo surrounded by the double walls that with the continuation in the seaside resort of Marotta represents an example of two towns in one, a sort of fusion of peasant and maritime culture. From there we continue towards San Costanzo, Piaggie, Cerasa and then begin a series of gentle ups and downs that take us to Mondavio located on the top of a hill at 280 m. above sea level between the Metauro and Cesano river valleys, with beautiful views ranging from the Apennines to the Adriatic Sea. In Mondavio there is a majestic fortress which is the main monumental complex... the ROCCA built in 1482 and the Malatesta palace. We continue our ride downhill and then face the climb that will take us to another of the ancient villages of the Marche... Corinaldo whose origins date back to the 5th century AD. built by a group of inhabitants of the Roman city of Suasa fleeing from the raids of the Goths. Corinaldo, city of Santa Maria Goretti, where in the historic center there are various testimonies of the Saint, starting from her birthplace to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria Goretti which preserves a relic. At this point our cycling itinerary takes the return route, along the road that from Corinaldo heads towards the beautiful city of Senigallia with its beautiful 13 km of fine sand where you can enjoy a well-deserved rest.
