ShareSenigallia and the hills of the sea

 

We are in the Marche and exactly in Senigallia, a city located on the Adriatic Coast at the mouth of the Misa River and is said to have been founded by the Senone Gauls, a Celtic tribe who had invaded northern Italy up to the Esino River, other scholars attribute its Etruscan origin - Cena Gallica founded around 283 BC. C. Today Senigallia is a tourist city that boasts various historical and artistic peculiarities that are absolutely worth visiting, such as the Rocca Roveresca, the Foro Annonario, the Porta Lambertina, the Rotonda sul Mare and an infinite number of beautiful historic buildings that embellish the centre. Our itinerary starts from the Palazzo del Comune and with a series of cycle paths we pass the port and then head towards the beautiful hill road that will lead us to SAN SILVESTRO, GROTTINO, FILETTO up to OSTRA where we stop for a visit to the historic centre. Setting off again, our bike journey takes us to discover all the beautiful ancient villages that dominate the ridge, BELVEDERE OSTRENSE, MADONNA DEL SOLE with its beautiful Sanctuary, SAN MARCELLO, MORRO D'ALBA the city of wine with its beautiful hills full of rows of grapes and until we reach MONTEMARCIANO and then head back downhill onto the Adriatic Sea.
