Strolling

Set between Lake Castreccioni and Monte San Vicino, Apiro enjoys a magnificent panorama; the lake is in fact a large artificial reservoir which over the years has become an important tourist destination and Monte San Vicino, an unmistakable landmark of the Central Apennines which has always been an integral part of the Apiro skyline. Its territory, typically hilly, ranges between the Esino and Musone valleys, closed by the Sibillini mountains and the other hills of the Cingolano. Its historic center, rich in works of art, is fortified by castle walls, while the area is of significant environmental interest.
