Montegranaro
Located on a barely appreciable hill, Montegranaro is the centre of excellence of national footwear production. The Romanesque monuments (the crypt of Sant’Ugo. and the portal of the SS. Salvatore), the church of SS. Filippo and Giacomo, the churches of S. Francesco and S. Serafino and the Baroque one of S. Pietro, the Town Hall, the noble palaces emerge from an urban fabric of houses huddled together.

CRIPTA DI SANT'UGO
The Church of Sant’Ugo, erroneously called a ‘crypt’ or ‘cryptoporticus’, in actual fact a Romanesque construction that can be dated to around 800 B.C. In the crypt, we can admire a series of paintings, considered among the most important Romanesque works of the Marche.
